Education is perhaps one of the most important aspects the lives of individuals as well as an
important tool for growth and development of nations.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela.
An annual Census Bureau survey reveals that overall college enrollment rates dropped three percentage points between 2008 and 2013, from 69 percent to 66 percent. This is worrisome despite the projected expected increase of 14% between 2014 and 2025.
Moving forward – Going by the said expected increase, it would be fulfilling to be an important partaker of this onward movement in the education system of the country. One should however look into creative ways in which one’s impact can be felt in this industry.
The importance and usefulness of sports cannot be overlooked as the love for sports amongst different social class is on a steady increase. A lot of youths who are talented don’t get the opportunity to showcase their talents let alone proceed to the professional level.
According to NCAA, out of nearly 8 million students currently participating in high school athletics in the United States, only 480,000 of them will compete at NCAA schools. And of that group, only a fraction will realize their goal of becoming professional athletes. The charts show the probability of competing in athletics beyond high school – both college and professionally.
